Welcome to Renske Oosthuizen Physiotherapy located in Knysna

Renske Oosthuizen has an absolute passion for people and helping them get better. She offers individualised treatments to both in-hospital & out-patients in Knysna. This includes stroke and post-operative rehabilitation, treating injuries such as ankle sprains, and lower back & neck pain, helping people with chest (lung) conditions and managing chronic illnesses such as arthritis. Home visits and treatment sessions are also available for those patients who are not as mobile.

What to expect at your appointment

During your assessment, Renske will gather your medical history about your current complaint and ask some questions to get a good idea of what could contribute to your problem. She will then do a full physical assessment. This may require her to ask you to put on some comfortable clothes so that she can see how your body moves.

After your initial assessment, Renske will discuss her findings with you so that you can understand what is going on in your body and what we can do about it. She will then suggest a management plan that may include some hands-on treatment, changes to your everyday life (home and work environment) and movement therapy that might require some effort from your side! She’ll be there to guide and assist you along the way.

Expectations are set together at this first session so that you both know your end goal and what plan to follow to get there.

Appointment & Fees —–

  • All appointments are 45 – 60 minutes
  • Consultation fees vary according to treatment techniques used, time spent as well as consumables used (for example strapping or needling).
  • We charge rates medical aid rates.
  • Card facilities are available
  • No need for a referral from a doctor or specialist

Cancellation Policy —–

The practice has a 24hour cancellation policy. Appointments not cancelled within this time will be charged in full.
